The role will be varied, busy, challenging and creative. You will take ownership of the PR activities for some of the most prestigious brands in cycling: you’ll work across a number of international clients, developing and executing campaigns that meet their strategic goals.
From creating and delivering standout media briefings that deliver coverage, you will also organise impactful press events and will be responsible for managing all elements of our client’s press relations, in good times and bad.
The role will be focused on the following areas:
- Designing and delivering the PR strategy
- Driving awareness of brand’s products and athlete endorsements
- Developing and managing press relations with international journalists and media companies across broadcast, digital and print outlets
- Delivering quality media coverage, selling into media and developing creative/interesting story angles
- Client liaison and management
- Project management and reporting
You will be up for the challenge of helping to grow the company and working in a fast moving, dynamic industry. With your finger on the pulse of media trends and an eagerness to learn, you will be a valuable part of our team.
You are an experienced PR professional with a love of cycling who is looking to take their passion to work. You are an exceptional communicator, have 4+ years PR experience and have a proven track record in press and media communications, with experience of working internationally. You will be relationship focused and understand what journalists want and how to give it to them.
With our growing roster of clients, you’ll need superb organisational skills to hit project deadlines. We ideally want somebody who knows Contador from Cancellara and can tell the difference between a bottom bracket and a brake caliper. Also, we’ll need you to travel, supporting our clients across Europe and farther afield on press days, product launches and other exciting initiatives.
Of course, your superb organisational skills will ensure you work efficiently to hit all project deadlines.
