Do you dream of combining your PR expertise with your passion for cycling? Based in the beautiful city of Bath, the world’s leading cycling communications agency is recruiting for a PR Manager to cover a period of maternity leave from late July 2018.

This role will be varied, busy, challenging and very creative and will require you to work closely with the senior management team at SHIFT.

We have great ambitions to develop our clients’ brands and exceed their expectations. By building outstanding relationships with key international journalists and media companies you will be able to deliver the best possible coverage and value to our clients. You will use tools within the business to monitor the performance of PR reach and review, report and make recommendations to our clients and ensure they receive excellent service.

The role will be focused on the following areas:

  • Developing and delivering innovative PR strategies, maximising the opportunity for our clients

  • Client and project management

  • Creation of media briefings and press collateral

  • Deliver coverage across broadcast, digital and print media internationally

  • Developing and maintain strong relationships with key international journalists, influencers and media companies

  • Analysing and reporting on the success of media campaigns

As PR Manager you are also responsible for day-to-day relations with the client. You will ensure that all relevant information from your work is communicated to other members of the SHIFT team.

You will be up for the challenge of helping to grow the company and working in a fast moving, dynamic industry. With your finger on the pulse of media trends and an eagerness to learn, you will be a valuable part of our team.

You are an experienced PR professional with a love of cycling who is looking to take their passion to work. You are an exceptional communicator, have 4+ years PR experience and have a proven track record in press and media communications, with experience of working internationally. You will be relationship focused and understand what journalists want and how to give it to them.

With our growing roster of clients, you’ll need superb organisational skills to hit project deadlines. We ideally want somebody with an understanding and existing knowledge of all areas of cycling and the industry itself.  Also, we’ll need you to travel, supporting our clients across Europe and farther afield on press days, product launches and other exciting initiatives.
