Business Director Simon started his career at one of the world’s most awarded ad agencies, AMV BBDO in London, cutting his teeth on brands including BT, O2, Mars, Gillette, and the RSPCA. Eight years on, he returned to his university city, Bath, joining direct and digital agency, The Real Adventure. There he helped brands such as Walkers, Evian, and ASDA; and in the process, became a director and was influential in growing the agency from 35 to more than 100 people.
Simon’s biggest passion is running, having completed three sub-2:45 marathons in recent years. His second love is cycling – not least because cross-training is so critical to an injury-free running career. Always up for a challenge, in only his second ever duathlon, Summer 2017, Simon finished 9th in “City Summit” after 17 hours racing that culminated in a marathon run passing the summit of Ben Nevis.
It’s easy to spot Simon. If he’s sat down, he’s usually eating. If he’s stood up, he’s usually stretching. And if he’s on the move, he’s usually hobbling. But don’t worry, he’s not a total weirdo; it’s all part of his training recovery… or so he says.
