What another great journey it’s been working with the Continental team on their epic new 'Grip that Lasts' campaign.

The creative challenge behind the project? Visually showcasing how Continental’s mountain bike tires are engineered for ultimate durability, no matter the conditions, and whether a rider is on session #1 or #111.

To achieve this, our production team designed a unique visual concept that keeps the tire dead-center and in absolute focus while the world rapidly shifts around it. The result is a striking, fast-paced sequence that captures the feeling of a relentless, long-distance ride that refuses to wear down.

Pulling off a concept this ambitious required meticulous planning, a lot of miles, and an unforgettable UK road trip. Here is a look behind the scenes at how our production crew brought 'Grip that Lasts' to life:

  • The Ultimate Route: The team identified UK locations that were as geographically diverse as possible. The production journey travelled from the rugged fells of the Lake District down through the heart of Wales, tackling steep mountains, rolling hills, and sandy beaches all in a single trip.

  • Chasing the Elements: Making a campaign about durability means putting the product through its paces. The crew shot through the full mix of unpredictable British weather, embracing the mud, rain, dust, and sunshine to show the tire effortlessly handling it all.

  • A ‘Day in the Life’ of a Tire: Beyond the riding, the campaign aimed to capture the authentic, multi-day bikepacking experience. This meant pitching tents and setting up campfires to document the journey, even when the wheels stopped turning.
